Equity and Access Faculty Conversation: Supporting Students with Autism April 12

All faculty, students, and staff are invited to the next session of the Equity and Access Faculty Conversation Series. This session will focus on supporting students with autism and will be held Friday, April 12, 1-2 pm in the Faculty Development Center Suite (Library 420). A pizza lunch will be served.

This session continues a series of monthly gatherings to discuss crucial issues of justice and inclusion in higher education, with the goal of helping all Webster students achieve their academic goals.

How can we better serve our students with autism? What practical strategies can instructors use to make our classrooms more inviting spaces for our students with autism, and, ultimately, all learners? John Aleshunas, Professor in the Dept. of Math & Computer Science, and Morgan Grotewiel, Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Psychology, will facilitate a discussion focused on sharing inclusive instructional approaches. Participants will be invited to ask questions and to share their own experiences.

Please RSVP here if you plan to attend, as pizza will be served. Students are more than welcome to attend.
