Robert Parrent, vice president for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs, has announced his retirement from Webster University, effective May 31.

During his time at Webster, Parrent had a major impact on the University’s reach and enrollment of students in the St. Louis area.

She has been instrumental in creating memorable and seamless events like the annual Commencements and Diversity & Inclusion conference, among many special events each year.

Peter Sargent is retiring as dean of the Leigh Gerdine College of Fine Arts at the end of May 2019 after almost 53 years of service to Webster University.

Kathy Corley

Retirement reception: Thursday, May 2 from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
East Atrium of Sverdrup Hall

In addition to being a Webster alumna, Kathy Corley has been a faculty member since 1985, received faculty status in 1990 and promotion to full professor in 1995.

She has served as department chair at least twice and probably been on every important faculty committee on campus at least once. She teaches in both film production and film studies, and has served for as long as anyone knows as the program facilitator for film studies. She is a film and television documentarian with serious production credits, accomplishments, and many professional connections, and is still very active in her field.

Congratulations to Susan Heady on her retirement. Heady has been in Webster's Nursing department for 28 years. 

John Orr

John Orr

Retirement reception: Thursday, April 25, from 3-5 p.m.
East Academic Building 202

Congratulations to John Orr on his retirement. Orr has been a member of the Webster Faculty for 14 years in the Walker School of Business & Technology. 

As an associate professor in the Management Department, his specific areas of teaching have been strategic management, international management, and quantitative research methods. His published work includes articles in the Journal of Business Strategy and, Learning and Education (AOM).

Prior to teaching at Webster, Orr also taught at McKendree University and Cameron University. 

Paul Frazier

Retirement reception: Wednesday, April 24, from 3-5 p.m.

Congratulations to Paul Frazier on his retirement. Frazier has been a member of the Webster Faculty since 1995. From 1995 to 2014 he taught as an adjunct in the Information Technology Management program and served as the Scott AFB adjunct faculty coordinator. In 2014, Frazier assisted in the creation of the MS Cybersecurity program which today is offered in St. Louis and at many of Webster’s extended sites and military locations.

He has served as the graduate and undergraduate Cybersecurity Program Lead since 2015. In 2016, he became a Lecturer in the Department of Math & Computer Science. During his time at Webster, Frazier has served on many University committees and most recently organized the Webster Cyber-Explorers Camp for middle school girls.

Fran Maher

Retirement reception: Wednesday, March 27, 2:30-4 p.m.
East Academic Building 102

Fran Maher, graduate academic advisor, has worked for Webster University for over 11 years, advising both undergraduate and graduate students. She was recently elected as a full-time member of the St. Louis Province Leadership Team of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. This position involves care of the 300 sisters, oversight of the business of the province, and liaison with the church, bishops and other religious communities. Not exactly retirement but a change from serving Webster students to serving her sisters and community. Fran will be greatly missed and we wish her the best!

Leigh Anne Huckaby

Retirement reception: Friday, March 22, from 3-5 p.m.
Community Music School Lobby

Congratulations to Leigh Anne Huckaby, building representative for the CMS Center on her retirement. Huckaby has been the CMS Building Representative for almost 11 years. She scheduled teaching studios at three locations, rehearsal halls and the CMS concert hall, coordinated and supervised the instrument and equipment inventory, and set-up all orchestra rehearsals and concerts and Suzuki Saturdays.

The CMS Center is a busy place and is home to the Webster University Music Department and other Webster University events in addition to the Community Music School. Huckaby worked with many departments across campus and with the community.

Prior to joining CMS, Huckaby was Production Manager for Opera Theatre Saint Louis. She has worked all over the country, stage managing for multiple opera companies. For the past several years she has worked with Webster Fine Arts Department assisting the Stage Management class and she has mentored and trained numerous work-study students.
