WebsterVOTES Cited on CSPAN

In the News: WebsterVOTES, Woody Cooper, Kaiser, chess alumni WebsterVOTES efforts were cited by a guest interview on CSPAN about efforts to make voting more accessible.

Kristen Clarke, president of Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, cited Webster University's efforts to help students vote. These include collecting the names and contact information of Webster employees who are currently commissioned notaries to help the absentee ballots of students, faculty and staff.

WebsterVOTES will also cover the cost of postage for voter registration, Absentee and Mail-in ballot applications and Absentee and Mail-in Ballots. 

Webster University has won several national awards for the WebsterVOTES program.

Woody Cooper in Danish Press on BLM

Jameca Woody CooperJameca Woody-Cooper was interviewed by the Danish Newspaper the Jyllands-Posten about the Black Lives Matter movement in the United States.

Cooper is a licensed mental health counselor and adjunct faculty member in Webster's School of Education.

Alumni Chess Players in Major Tournament

Webster University alum and chess champion Le Quang Liem was mentioned in several news stories about the Chess24 Banter Series Final, where he was defeated by former Webster teammate Wesley So in the semifinal. Read one story at Tempo here.

So went on to lose in the final to world #1 Magnus Carlsen.

Kaiser's Historic Home Profiled

DJ KaiserDJ Kaiser was quoted in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch weekend home feature, which put the spotlight on a historic home in the Tower Grove neighborhood that he and his spouse moved into this year.

Kaiser is a professor and associate dean in the School of Education
