BANGKOK, THAILAND - Webster University Thailand students connected with digital experts at Google’s offices in Thailand earlier this summer as part of a unique competition run by the global tech giant. The Global Online Marketing Challenge 2015 set university students the task of experiencing and creating an online marketing campaign for a real company using Google AdWords and Google+.

The team was allocated a USD 250 budget from Google and spent three weeks creating, managing and optimizing an online advertising campaign for a tour company in Bangkok who wanted to market their packages to English speaking tourists and expats.

Regional and international winners of the Google Online Marketing Challenge will be announced in August 2015. In total, 1000 universities from 100 countries took part in the initiative with the aim of gaining the valuable, hands-on skills needed to tackle evolving tech developments.

More information and a video of the experience can be found on the Webster University Thailand website.
