UMass Amherst Joins WINS Network

Webster University welcomes its newest Webster International Network of Schools (WINS) member, the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, a nationally ranked public research university offering a full range of undergraduate, graduate and professional degrees.

Known as the Commonwealth's flagship campus, the University of Massachusetts at Amherst (UMass Amherst) sits in the scenic Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts, 90 miles from Boston and 175 miles from New York City.

Founded in 1863, it is the largest public research university in New England, distinguished by an excellence and breadth of academic, research, and community outreach programs. The UMass Amherst campus provides a rich cultural environment in a rural setting close to major urban centers, and boasts a wide array of study abroad opportunities which now include Webster programs.

UMass students are participating, with one student in Athens this summer and more on the horizon as staff continue working together. Cristina Sosa attended the WINS conference and site visit last summer in Athens, Greece, along with a number of other current and prospective partners and Jennifer Dickey, study abroad and WINS coordinator will visit UMass Amherst in September.
