Webster Geneva Celebrates 40th Anniversary with Art Exhibit, Community Day

Webster University Geneva held two 40th anniversary events in late September, celebrating the University's first international campus, established in 1978. These events marked the beginning of a year of celebrations that will culminate with a gala event in April. The latest news on the anniversary and links to past events can be found at webster.ch/40.

The special exhibition on Sept. 27 of artist Sema Jonsson's "100 Portraits of Women Who Inspire" was a showcase of 100 portraits of female artists, activists, writers, singers, scientists, politicians, businesswomen, humanitarians and philanthropists. The art installation was conducted with the assistance of Francesco Arese Visconti and a team of undergraduate students. Students enrolled in First-Year Seminar class helped select portraits for the Student Lounge.
