The Summit provides workshops, employer interviews and continuing education opportunities to veterans and their families.

Representatives from Webster University's Office of Military Affairs (OMA) attended the annual Welcome Home Warrior Summit on Saturday, July 18, at Chaifetz Arena. The event provides the opportunity to connect with and inform veterans from Operation Enduring Freedom about educational and professional opportunities in the region.

Webster's head of OMA and associate vice president, Brig. Gen. Mike Callan (USAF, Ret.), attended with his daughter, Amber, and Laurie Nest, community relations coordinator for Webster's Westport and Winhaven campus locations.

The Summit offered work-ready workshops, employer interviews and continuing education opportunities to the region's veterans and their families. Co-sponsored by the Warrior Summit Coalition, the Veterans Administration and ESGR (Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve), hundreds of veterans and their families attended the free Summit.

"It was pleasure to make the attendees aware of the many educational programs available at Webster University," Callan said. "We look forward to following up with many of them."
