Career Panel Connects Teaching Candidates, Education Leaders
Apprentice teachers in Webster's School of Education heard from local leaders in the field.

The School of Education and the Career Planning & Development Center (CPDC) hosted an Education Career Panel Wednesday, Feb. 10, where apprentice teachers who are graduating in May had the opportunity to hear from four panelists who interview and hire teachers.

This event is a great opportunity for Webster teacher candidates to learn firsthand about qualities, skills, and experience employers are seeking in candidates.

The career panel also enhances preparation for the upcoming on-campus Teacher Recruitment Day, where school districts will visit campus to interview Webster’s education students and recent graduates.

Panelists included Michael Brennan, director of studies at Barat Academy high school; Darius Kirk, principal of Riverview Gardens High School; Susan Marino, head of school and executive director of Lafayette Preparatory Academy; and Kristin Denbow, principal of Steger in the Webster Groves School District.
