Webster Hosts 3EC Buzzwords Conference
Experiential Education Exchange

Webster University is host and sponsor of the Experiential Education Exchange's Feb. 13 "3EC: Buzzwords Conference," which will bring a diverse group of educators to campus to improve practice, share ideas and collaborate on projects to make the region a better place to live and learn.

Held in the University Center on Webster's home campus in Webster Groves, the Buzzwords Conference will give educators the opportunity to define and explore three Buzzwords: Grit, Mindset, and Project-based Learning.

Attendees will participate with fellow educators and learn strategies to give meaning to how to use these buzzwords.

Participants will learn how to best promote and propel excellence in experiential education in our region through common areas of interest:

  • K-12 Schools: Classroom Connections
  • Outdoor & Adventure Education
  • Organizational Training & Development
  • Therapeutic Adventure
  • Higher Education

Featured speakers include:

  • Tom Hoerr, emeritus head of school, New City School
  • Michael Dittrich, principal, Maplewood Richmond Heights Middle School
  • Brandi Cartwright, educator, co-founder of Raintree School

The registration fee of $75 ($40 for full-time students, $65 for groups of five or more) includes lunch. To register, visit 3ec.eventbrite.com.
