Galaxy Radio Promotes Operation Food Search

The Galaxy Radio encourages the Webster community to donate to Operation Food Search, a St. Louis-based non-profit organization dedicated to ending hunger in the greater St. Louis metropolitan area.

Operation Food Search provides more than three million dollars worth of food and household essentials to 330 community partner agencies, which in turn feeds 200,000 people in need each month – nearly one-third of whom are children.

 

 Please, no glass containers or ramen noodles. Acceptable items include:

  • Light tuna, salmon (canned, pouches) and canned chicken
  • Soup, chili, stews with meat/means (a meal in a can)
  • Canned fruit (in natural juices)
  • Canned beans
  • Diced romatoes, tomato paste, canned spaghetti sauce
  • Pancake mix, Bisquick
  • Breakfast cereal (Cheerios/Honey Nut Cheerios preferred, including store brands)
  • Ziplock bags: Freezer Gallon, Quart Sizes
  • Can openers: Swing-A-Way brand preferred
  • Deodorant, toothbrushes and toothpaste
  • Pop-top cans are especially appreciated

Donation Bin Locations: Emerson Library, Marletto's, Loretto Hall and School of Communications administrative office
