About the Band

Plain White T’s, best known for their Grammy nominated single, “Hey There Delilah,” is an American pop punk band from Lombard, Illinois. The group was formed in 1997 when high school friends Tom Higgenson, Dave Tirio and two others began playing at local punk shows in Chicago’s suburbs. In 2002, the band reformed its lineup and gained three new members and recorded its album, Stop, which attracted the attention of Fearless Records. In 2005, the band recorded its first studio album, All That We Needed, from its reformed lineup, and later released its forthcoming hit single “Hey There Delilah.” The song was certified three-times platinum by the RIAA and reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Following that, in September of 2006, the band released another album, titled Every Second Counts, featuring the popular song “Our Time Now,” and appeared on the television show, iCarly. The album placed #10 on the Billboard 200 and was certified Gold by the RIAA in October 2007.
