Outstanding Student Employee Award Recipients Named for Fall 2

Four students were selected to receive the Outstanding Student Employee Award for Fall 2: Stephen Hummel, Jack Nathe, Nancy Singh and Kaylin Waltrip. Up to four students in St. Louis are recognized each term with the Outstanding Student Employee Award. The awards were presented at a ceremony held in the East Academic Building on Feb. 12.

Stephen Hummel, a junior international relations major from Desoto, Texas, was nominated by Darren Murphy, former supervisor in financial aid, for his outstanding work as an office assistant in the financial aid office.

Jack Nathe, a junior international human rights major from St. Louis was nominated by Patrick Stack, director of counseling and life development, for his outstanding work as a peer educator in the counseling and life development department.

Nancy Singh, a graduate student studying information technology management from India, was nominated by Kate Northcott, director of the Student Literacy Corps, for her outstanding work as literacy tutor at Lyon Academy in the St. Louis Public School District.

Kaylin Waltrip, a graduate student in advertising/marketing communications from Fenton, Missouri, was nominated by Dominik Jansky, communications director in Global Marketing & Communications (GMC), for her outstanding work as a graduate assistant for GMC.

Dean's Award Recipients Named for Fall 2

Two students have been selected to receive the Dean's Award for Service for Fall 2: Debhuti Roy and Dennis Heumann. Up to four students are recognized each term with the Dean’s Service Award.

Debhuti Roy, a graduate student in business administration and health administration from India, was nominated by Jennifer Stewart, director of the office of student engagement. She was nominated for her leadership and service to the campus through roles such as International Student Association (ISA) presidents, Delegates’ Agenda presenter, Student Government Association senator, orientation leader, Student Ambassador, and MCISA program coordinator. The award was presented to Roy at a program held in the East Academic Building on Feb. 12

Dennis Heumann, a senior international relations and business administration double major from Germany, was nominated by Jesse Alexander, student community coordinator at the Vienna campus. He was nominated for his leadership and service to the Vienna campus through roles such as SGA president in Vienna, and Model UN Head. A separate presentation will be held for Heumann will be held at the Vienna campus.
