Webster SAAC & FCA Sponsor Division III Week

The Webster University Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) are celebrating Division III Week, April 3-7, with a week of events to engage students, faculty and staff in celebration of D-III athletics.

From watching the NCAA basketball championship while getting a massage and eating free pizza, to a pool party with free Chick-fil- A, there will be a lot of fun activities...including a free raffle for Cardinal tickets.

Students get an entry into the Cardinals raffle for each event they attend throughout the week. The winner will be drawn at the end of Friday's Pool Party, and you do not need to be present to win.

Benefit Non-Profit Founded by Gorlok Alumna

Also, there will be a week long donation collection with Project Sweet Smile, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, started by Webster's women's tennis player Jesse Steffens-Willis, provides women with basic needs like hygienic products, bus passes, Wal-Mart gift cards, etc.

The collection is for hygiene items (toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, mouthwash, etc.) and cash donations. Items collected and purchased will be distributed on Mother's Day.

Schedule for the Week

Monday, April 3 – March Madness and Massages: As the title suggests, while watching the National Championship Basketball game in the Library Conference room, two chair massage therapists will be available to provide massages. Also, there will be free pizza from Dominos, an official Webster University Athletics sponsor.

Tuesday, April 4 - Mental Health Awareness: Journaling is a great way to release your emotions and to handle stress, so the SAAC and FCA will be passing out free journals in the lobby outside Athletics.   Each journal will have a note card explaining the positive benefits of journaling along with info about Webster's Counseling and Life Development Center. Free bagels will also be available.

Thursday, April 6 – Faculty, Staff and Student Appreciation Breakfast: A free full breakfast catered by dining services at Sunnen Lounge in the UC.  This event has been especially popular in past years.  This is a chance for our student-athletes to mingle with those on campus and a chance to say 'Thank You' to those who have supported Athletics throughout the year.

Thursday, April 6 – Bags Tournament/Inflatable Course: There will be an inflatable obstacle course in Grant Gym for students to have some fun!  There also will be a bags tournament during that time.

Friday, April 7 – Pool Party: A pool party at the University Center indoor pool. Chick- fil-A will be available.
