Webster Holds Career Readiness Round Table for Grads with Disabilities

The Career Planning & Development Center partnered with the Academic Resource Center to host a Career Readiness Round Table Discussion April 10

Tina Vinson, director of community outreach for Starkloff Disability Institute, was on campus for a lunchtime discussion with soon to be Webster graduates with disabilities.

Topics covered included starting a job search, transportation, accommodations and disclosing a disability to an employer. Vinson also discussed the Starkloff Career Academy, and the success of graduates from the program.

The Starkloff Career Academy facilitates the hiring of qualified people with disabilities into mainstream jobs by training candidates to become competitive job seekers and by educating employers on how to welcome them into their workforce.
