Friendly Competition at ILC International Trivia Night

Department of International Languages & Cultures' teaching assistants hosted an International Trivia Night on March 28 in the University Center's Sunnen Lounge.

Teaching assistants Mercedes Romero-Day (Argentina), Sam Malby (France), Tobias Michaelis (Germany) and Michiko Sasasaki (Japan) each wrote a category of questions about their respective home countries, and worked together on six other categories with international themes.

The four TAs had the idea after enjoying a trivia night that they had attended together. They wanted to create a fun event in which Webster students could learn about other countries and cultures through some friendly competition. Over 50 students of various nationalities attended the event, which started with pizza and snacks.

Prizes were awarded to the top two teams, who earned scores of 85 and 71. The event was so enjoyable that the ILC hopes to make it an annual event.
