Video: Webster Vocal Performance Major Olivia Bosaw Featured on HEC-TV
Apr. 4, 2017
Webster University freshman vocal performance major Olivia Bosaw is featured on HEC-TV, a local leading producer of education and arts television programming.
“When Olivia came in the Spring of 2016 to audition for us, I made special notes on her form. She really understood what she was singing about and that to me is one of the great markers of an artist,” said Martha Hart, director of Vocal Studies at Webster University.
As a young talented dancer, singer and actress, Bosaw is already landing leading roles in local musical theater and is an accomplished classical singer who was selected to appear with Terry Barber in the Artist’s for a Cause “Andrew Lloyd Weber” Review at the Sheldon.
She was also one of four Webster vocal students to take home awards at last fall's National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) regional student conference and competition in Iowa City.
The HEC video features how her talents were cultivated at an early age, showing her evolution through performance clips from her primary school - high school, local theater starring roles, Artists For a Cause duet with Terry Barber at the Sheldon, Webster University’s Opera Scenes and her moving Puccini aria solo, “O Mio Babbino Caro” accompanied by Donna Vince.
Bosaw plans to continue her love for performing in her future career.
“I think Broadway would be the most fun for me just because I enjoy dance. I think I would like to pursue that the most, but I have no preference. I wouldn’t say no to any performance opportunities,” said Olivia Bosaw
