Teacher Recruitment Day Yields 170 Interviews for Educations Students with 14 Districts
Mar. 17, 2017
More than 30 aspiring educators from the School of Education attended Teacher Recruitment Day on Wednesday, March 15, to interview and network with representatives from 14 local school district partners. Dean Brenda Fyfe welcomed event participants and kicked off the event where over 170 20-minute interviews took place.
The interviews conducted at the event are a part of school districts’ recruiting strategies
and successful interviews result in second-round job interviews for teacher candidates.
The event is co-hosted by the Department of Teacher Education in the School of Education and the Career Planning & Development Center. Teacher Recruitment Day is an example of a meaningful, cross-campus collaboration that promotes student learning and success.
The event was held in Grant Gym on the University’s home campus in Webster Groves.
