Webster University Communication Careers Week Begins Nov. 6
Join Communication Careers Week Nov. 6-10

The School of Communications hosts its annual Webster University Communication Careers Week, Nov. 6-10, with an outstanding lineup of events and activities for students, alumni, faculty, staff, and members of the public.

Here’s a quick rundown of events:

    • “The Power of Audience Building through Crowdfunding in the Digital Age,” by Cady McClain, Emmy award-winning actor, director, producer, and author; director of Seeing is Believing: Women Direct (screening at the Saint Louis International Film Festival) Monday, Nov. 6, 5:30-7:00 p.m., Emerson Library Conference Room
    • “Ten Fundamental Truths that Won’t Change with Creative Industry Trends,” by Gus Hattrich (BA ’98) and Paradowski Creative
      Tuesday, Nov. 7, 1:30-3:00 p.m., followed by a networking reception, University Center Sunnen Lounge and streaming live
    • “Living in a Van in the Desertand Other Ways to Explore Your Career,” by Django Greenblatt-Seay, multi-media artist and social-media pro, Union Pacific Corporate Communications
      Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2:30-3:45 p.m., University Center Presentation Room
    • Opportunities 17, networking and professional advice event
      Wednesday, Nov. 8, 4:00-6:00 p.m., University Center Sunnen Lounge
    • Internship Expo
      Thursday, Nov. 9, 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., University Center Sunnen Lounge and Commons
    • Cinematography for Independent Filmmaking with Director of Photography Autumn Eakin, (BA ‘04) cinematographer for The Light of the Moon (screening at the Saint Louis International Film Festival)
      Friday, Nov. 10, 3-5 p.m.,  Winifred Moore Auditorium
    • 18 alumni and friends of the school visiting classes throughout the week

Alumni, members of the public, faculty, staff, and the Webster community, as well as students, are invited to the speaking events and to visit Opportunities 17 and Internship Expo, as well.  Please do come by.
