Calling all rowers, drummers and fun-lovers: Represent Webster in a 2,000-year-old tradition.

The Confucius Institute invites students, staff, and faculty to represent Webster University in the annual Gateway Dragon Boat Festival rowing competition.

Come participate in this ancient Chinese tradition while getting some exercise and supporting a local charity. This is a great team building activity and tons of fun!

The event takes place at Creve Coeur Lake on Saturday, June 23, and is free for all participants. There will also be two practice runs in the week leading up to the event.

Cost: Free!

Who: We are looking for 20 rowers, 5 alternates, and 1 drummer from the Webster community. No experience needed.

When: Saturday, June 23, 2018; practices will be held on two evenings sometime between June 19th and June 22nd.

Why: Partake in a more than 2,000-year-old tradition while having fun! You will also be supporting Operation Family Help, a non-profit effort assisting families with medical needs not covered by health insurance.
