Education Device Adoption IT Forum

On Wednesday, Nov. 28, the School of Education's Department of Teacher Education, in conjunction with the Student Education Association (SEA), will host a student IT forum to discuss the adoption of a single touch-screen computing platform for classes in the department.

The forum will be in Sunnen Lounge from 4:30-5:30 p.m. and all teacher education students, both undergraduate and graduate, are expected to attend.

The Department of Teacher Education is embarking on a one-to-one device adoption program with the Microsoft Surface. With this program, all students who are seeking teacher certification will be presented with a Microsoft Surface to complete class assignments and course activities. With this modern and standard platform, education students will learn to use interactive touchscreen devices to enhance their teaching. They will also be able to use the flexibility of the device to create teaching videos and use Office 365 for classroom teaching.

Attendees can RSVP here
