Webster Athletics to Celebrate NCAA Division III Week with Staff/Faculty Appreciation Breakfast

Athletics is celebrating NCAA Division III Week this week and as a thank you to the Webster University community, the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) are hosting the annual Appreciation Breakfast on Wednesday, April 3 from 8:30-10:30 a.m. in Sunnen Lounge.

This is a chance for the student-athletes to thank the community for their support throughout the year.  The entire community is invited to stop by, eat and hang out. Or if necessary, stop by and grab a plate to go. It’s a full, hot breakfast – Eggs, French toast, bacon, sausage, fruit, bagels, juice, coffee and more!

So what exactly is Division III Week?

As explained by the NCAA, "Introduced in 2010, Division III Week is a positive opportunity for all individuals associated with Division III to observe and celebrate the impact of athletics and of student-athletes on the campus and surrounding community. During the week, every Division III school and conference office is encouraged to conduct a type of outreach activity that falls into one of three categories: academic accomplishment; athletic experience; or leadership/community service/campus involvement."

Two of Webster's athletic teams have home events next week and the university community is encouraged to attend those events to show their support for Webster's student-athletes.
