Donor Count Tripled for #GivingTuesday in Support of Webster Students

Giving TuesdayWebster University raised nearly $22,000 on #GivingTuesday to support more than 13,000 students studying at locations around the world.

#GivingTuesday on Dec. 3 was a global day of giving harnessing the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations that encourage giving and to celebrate generosity worldwide. On this day, thanks to donors, Webster University raised nearly $22,000 to support our mission of delivering an extraordinary education one student at a time.

"The generous outpouring of support from so many of Webster's alumni, faculty, staff and friends for our students is truly heartwarming," said Kelly Dopman, director of Alumni Relations and Annual Fund in the Office of Advancement.

These donations support student success for more than 12,000 students studying at more than 50 metro and military locations across the United States and four continents around the world.

Webster's #GivingTuesday Donors, By the Numbers

  • 133 total donors, triple last year's results
  • 26 donors who are recent graduates
  • 31 first-time donors
  • 2 new Webster Society members
