GMC Offers a Lessons on Webster's New Website

Webster University's Global Marketing and Communications unit will host three Zoom sessions in December for the Webster community to learn more about how to use the new webster.edu website and how its features are designed for the mobile-device environment that site visitors increasingly rely upon.

The launch of the new website comes after much research, focus groups and planning to align with the interests of prospective students, reinforce Webster's academic and teaching strengths, streamline navigation among Webster's domestic and international campus locations, and support its mission and vision as a nonrofit institution with over 100 years of history.

The new "mobile-first" design aims to enhance the user experience by offering more easily accessible, user friendly and social media optimized resources for students, faculty and staff. This approach means the site has the capability to adjust to whatever electronic device accesses the site, which is important as more than half of all of Webster's website traffic comes from mobile devices.

To familiarize yourself with how the site works and the strategy behind its interactive and scrolling components, please consider attending one of the three sessions. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. If more sessions are necessary, we will plan accordingly.
