MLK Celebration Jan. 30: 'Tearing Hatred from the Sky'

Webster University's Multicultural Center and International Student Affairs will celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, Jan. 30 in the Luhr Building at 5:30 p.m. The event will include dinner, a band, and music from Webster University’s Gospel Choir. The keynote speech, entitled “Tearing Hatred from the Sky,” will be delivered by activist Bree Newsome. Free tickets can be picked up from MCISA tables in the University Center or by registering online.

Student Town Hall Today

All students are invited to attend a Student Town Hall session on Thursday, Jan. 19, at noon in Sunnen Lounge for a discussion of Webster's Stance on Hate and Harassment. The panel will include Ted Hoef, dean of Students, and Nicole Roach, associate vice president of Diversity and Inclusion. Cases will be explored in small groups, with a pizza lunch provided.
