Remembering Andrew Goldbranson, Webster Conservatory Student

The Webster University community mourns the passing of Andrew Goldbranson, a student who was following a passion for acting and musical theatre in Webster's Conservatory of Theatre Arts. The Conservatory community has been notified and memorial services will be held July 17-18 in Darien, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Andrew Goldbranson Memorial Scholarship Fund. This fall the Conservatory will explore an appropriate way to honor Andrew's time at Webster.

The Career Planning and Development Center, in partnership with JCPenney at West County Center, will host its first Suit-Up event on Sept. 22 ahead of Webster University’s Fall 2019 Career Fair. At the event, students can save up to 60 percent off select men’s and women’s career dress apparel, shoes and accessories when they use the extra 30 percent off Suit-Up coupon available at the event. Students can register for the event through Handshake.

CMS: Fall Kindermusik class enrollment now open

Inspire your child's love of music. Sing, dance, wiggle and giggle with your little one at a free Kindermusik Demo Day class. Aug. 10-17, the Community Music School of Webster will offer sample classes at each of their locations in Webster Groves, Des Peres, University City and Chesterfield. Classes are open to children ages newborn to 6-years-old, and their caregivers.

Bee-autiful: University in Webster Groves Community Days July 4 Parade

Students and alumni joined Webster University's team in the annual Webster Groves July 4 Community Days Parade, which celebrates the national holiday in the community where Webster University was founded in 1915. Among the Webster giveaways were fans designed to help keep America “bee-autiful” with bee- and pollinator-friendly tips provided by Nicole Miller-Struttmann, the Laurance L. Browning, Jr. endowed professor in Biological Sciences.

It is the only helping profession that focuses on wellness across the lifespan, and as such is an exciting and ever-changing profession. In interactive online sessions on July 10 and 11, faculty will provide an overview of the Counseling Program at Webster University, including information about the new interactive online program.
