Confucius Institute Hosts Exhibit, Demonstration with Chinese Artist Dengbai Yuejin

From Sept. 6-9, the Confucius Institute at Webster University partnered with the St. Louis County Library Mid-County Branch to exhibit the work of Chinese artist Dengbai Yuejin. Opening day of the exhibit Yuejin showed his process with a live demonstration and an opportunity for audience members to try their hand at Chinese ink-brush painting.

At the beginning of the academic year, many students are adjusting to their class schedules and looking for on and off-campus jobs that will help support themselves and contribute to their college education. The Career Planning and Development Center offers the Recruiters on Campus program to assist students in identifying the right now job that will do just that. On Sept. 12, the Career Planning and Development Center welcomed, Recruiting Consultant, Michelle Adams, from Wells Fargo Advisors. Adams came on campus to share information about the Wells Fargo Advisors Practicum Program.

Webster Vienna this fall is hosting a series of lectures and workshops with leading political scientists, historians, sociologists, and natural philosophers. Among them are top Norwegian political scientist and social anthropologist Iver B. Neumann, returning to Webster Vienna, and Asian Studies expert David Shambaugh as the Elizabeth Chopin Visiting Professor.

Recruiters On Campus: Midwest Valet Visits Campus

The Career Planning and Development Center offers the Recruiters on Campus program to assist students in identifying the right now job that will do just that. On Sept. 5, the Career Planning and Development Center welcomed Midwest Valet Parking (MVP) to campus for an employer information table in the University Center Commons. Midwest Valet Parking offers flexible hours, great pay and an exciting work environment.
