The Multicultural Center and International Student Affairs (MCISA) has been working hard to prepare for the upcoming arrival of new international students on campus for the Spring 2 term.
Our new class of students come to St. Louis from all around the world: Brazil, Canada,
China, Ghana, Pakistan, and Thailand.
International Student Orientation - Friday, March 11
Check in at the University Center Commons on the upper level
Immigration Check-In 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
Orientation includes a Student Resource Fair for new students to view and print their student class schedules, open bank accounts, set up mobile phone services, learn more about billing, on campus jobs, campus involvement and much more.
New this Year - Before You Board: International Student Orientation Online
New international students and study abroad international students access Orientation materials online in Connections WorldClassroom after registering for classes. Before You Board: International Student Orientation Online includes valuable advice from current students on adjusting to a new culture, tips and advice on navigating your new educational environment and our St. Louis campus, setting up services like cell phone plans and bank accounts, accessing resources to support success like academic advising, English as a Second Language courses, health insurance, immigration advising, library and much more. Students receive an email invitation to join Before You Board and must first be enrolled and activate their Connections account to begin.

As we prepare to welcome another incoming class of international students from around the world to our home campus in St. Louis, we ask our campus colleagues to help us extend our welcoming reach and familiarize yourselves with the schedule of events and resources available to help new students when they first arrive. International students arrive earlier than other new students, so please use these resources below to answer any questions about directions or locations of programs.

Admitted Student Guide – Designed to help guide students step-by-step from the point of admission through arrival and orientation on campus, this website provides a list of everything a new student needs to do and complete before and after arrival on campus.
Orientation RSVP and Airport Pickup Requests – Students arriving for the first time in St. Louis may request free airport pickup service with advance notice. We confirm with students via email regarding arrival procedures and how to find us at the airport.

The MCISA office is located at 536 Garden (next to the University Bookstore). We are open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Help us welcome our new class of global Gorloks!
