Call for Nominations: 2018 Kemper Award for Excellence in Teaching
Nominations are due to the Office of the Provost by Monday, Feb. 12.

The Office of the Provost invites nominations for the 2018 William T. Kemper Award for Excellence in Teaching.

This award, generously funded by the William T. Kemper Foundation, recognizes faculty members who demonstrate teaching at its finest. Up to four Kemper Awards will be presented: two for full-time faculty members on the home campus who will each receive a $10,000 award, and two adjunct faculty members (all campuses and online) who will each receive a $5,000 award.

To nominate a faculty member, please write a brief paragraph stating why you think he/she is an outstanding teacher. Nominees will be asked to provide background information on their teaching experiences as well as a statement articulating their philosophy of education. For the adjunct faculty award, preference will be given to professional practitioners who have taught for more than three years.

The Provost will appoint a committee to review nominations and materials and recommend the four recipients. Announcement of the 2018 William T. Kemper Award for Excellence in Teaching will be made at the end of the academic year at an appropriate ceremony.
