Campus Closures, Reopenings in NC, SC Following Hurricane Florence

Following the impact of Hurricane Florence over the weekend, several campuses in North Carolina and South Carolina remain closed as part of safety precautions, while a few others have reopened. 

Flooding and power outages continue to affect accessibility and safety of some our campuses. These details are subject to change; please monitor the campus websites for further updates. More information will be shared as it becomes available.

A list of closures (both on-ground classes and WebNet+ classes hosted from these locations) and scheduled reopening dates as of noon today:

[Updated Thursday, Sept. 20, 10 a.m.]

  • Myrtle Beach, South Carolina - Offices open, no classes until Monday, Sept. 24.
  • Camp Lejeune, North Carolina (to include classes held at MCAS New River) - Offices closed, no classes until Monday, Sept. 24, however, this may change based upon new information.

[Updated Tuesday, Sept. 18, 12 p.m.]

  • Myrtle Beach, South Carolina - Offices open, classes cancelled. Currently scheduled to resume weekend classes on Saturday, Sept. 22.
  • Camp Lejeune, North Carolina (to include classes held at MCAS New River) - Offices closed, no classes. Currently scheduled to reopen on Monday, Sept. 24, however, this may change based upon new information.
  • Fort Bragg, North Carolina - Offices closed, classes cancelled. Currently scheduled to reopen Wednesday, Sept. 19.

Monday, Sept. 17 – Offices Open, Classes Resumed

  • Charleston, South Carolina
  • Columbia, South Carolina
  • Fort Jackson, South Carolina
  • Greenville, South Carolina
  • Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina

Monday, Sept. 17 – Offices Open, Classes Cancelled until Further Notice

  • Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (currently anticipate that classes will be resumed by this weekend)

Monday, Sept. 17 – Offices Closed, No Classes

  • Camp Lejeune, North Carolina (to include classes held at MCAS New River)
  • Fort Bragg, North Carolina (currently scheduled to reopen the office on Tuesday, Sept. 18, and will resume classes as normally scheduled)

 Tuesday, Sept. 18 – Offices Closed, No Classes

  •  Camp Lejeune (currently scheduled to reopen the office on Wednesday, Sept. 19, and will resume classes as normally scheduled, to include those held at MCAS New River.)
