Teaching Fest Preview: Poster sessions, reception, open house in ARC

After the morning panels and roundtables on Monday during the first day of the 2018 Teaching Festival, stop by the Academic Resource Center from 3-5 p.m. for refreshments, to celebrate Webster’s innovations and successes in the area of teaching and learning, and to learn about the Academic Resource Center’s work to support student success.

The ARC is located in Loretto Hall 40 (near Marletto's and Mail & Copy Solutions).

In addition to offering tutoring and writing coaching services, the Academic Resource Center provides support to faculty and students related to academic counseling, academic disability accommodations, academic integrity, assistive technology, learning strategies, time and stress management, and more.

The Teaching Festival poster session will feature presentations on a wide variety of teaching and learning topics, including case studies and simulations to promote engaged learning, undergraduate research and study abroad as high-impact practices, and resources in the Webster network that support student success and motivation.

The session will also include a syllabus gallery, a display of Webster syllabi from across disciplines designed to help share and foster learner-centered practices.
