Central Washington University Joins WINS Program

Central Washington University (CWU), located in Ellensburg, Washington, is the newest institution to join the WINS program. Steve Cook, associate director of Education Abroad, visited Webster Athens last summer; and in 2019, two CWU music faculty will bring a group of students abroad for a program facilitated by Webster Vienna.

Founded in 1891, the university consists of four divisions: the President' Division, Business and Financial Affairs, Operations, and Academic and Student Life. CWU has been recognized for its diversity and online programs; and was recognized as a “Veteran Supportive Campus” by the Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs. Amongst its more than 135 majors, the CWU College of Business has earned the prestigious accreditation of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Only 5% of business schools globally earn the designation.

CWU students study abroad in over 50 countries ranging from week-long faculty led to year-long exchange programs. In 2017-2018, CWU enrolled over 11,300 students and the university graduates about 2,000 students each year.

About WINS

The WINS program, established more than 15 years ago, creates partnerships between Webster University and U.S. universities to provide access to Webster's international campuses on four continents. The program allows full-time, degree-seeking students of affiliated U.S. universities to study abroad at one of Webster's international campus locations and allows for collaborative program development amongst partner institutions.
