Centre Francophone to Welcome French Author Leila Slimani

The Centre Francophone is set to welcome French author Leila Slimani to St. Louis on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at the St. Louis County Library.
Author of the internationally bestselling thriller “The Perfect Nanny,” Leila Slimani is the first Moroccan woman to win France’s most prestigious literary prize, the Prix Goncourt.
She is also a journalist and frequent commentator on women’s and human rights.
Leila Slimani will present her prizewinning first novel — a captivating exploration of addiction, sexuality, and one woman’s quest to feel alive. "Adèle appears to have the perfect life: She is a successful journalist in Paris who lives in a beautiful apartment with her surgeon husband and their young son. But underneath the surface, she is consumed by an obsession and soon becomes ensnared in a trap of her own making...".
