Kemper Teaching Excellence Award Nominations Due Feb. 10
December 10, 2019

The Office of the President invites nominations for the 2020 William T. Kemper Award for Excellence in Teaching.
This award, generously funded by the William T. Kemper Foundation, recognizes faculty members who demonstrate teaching at its finest. Up to four Kemper Awards will be presented: two full-time faculty members on the main campus who will each receive a $10,000 award, and two adjunct faculty members (all campuses and online) who will each receive a $5,000 award.
Nomination Criteria & Selections
To nominate a faculty member, please write a brief paragraph stating why you think he/she is an outstanding teacher. Nominees will then be asked to provide background information on their teaching experiences as well as a statement articulating their philosophy of education. For the adjunct faculty award, preference will be given to professional practitioners who have taught for more than three years.
A committee will be appointed to review nominations and materials and recommend the four recipients. Announcement of the 2020 William T. Kemper Award for Excellence in Teaching will be made at the end of the academic year at an appropriate ceremony.
