ARC 2019-2020 Programmatic Survey Positive Feedback

Students and other individuals who use Academic Resource Center (ARC) services have provided feedback via surveys. The survey is located on the ARC homepage. In May, the survey feedback for the 2019-2020 academic year was collected and analyzed.
In May, the survey feedback for the 2019-202020 academic year was collected and analyzed. These surveys are part of the Academic Resource Center’s regular cycle of program assessment and process improvement.
Survey Feedbacks
Student comments that were submitted along with the surveys include the following:
Academic Counseling:
“Meeting with (my academic counselors) has been the most helpful thing on campus for me. I absolutely adore meeting with them, and they've kept me successful in classes and in general, right now.”
Testing Center:
“The only minor issue I had was that I could hear a bit of muffled sound from outside, but it wasn't very distracting and I could still focus on my work. Other than that minor nitpick, I feel comfortable using the Testing Center in the future.”
Writing Center:
“(My writing coach) is awesome!!! She provided great feedback and got me through my capstone.”
“(My writing coach) was very patient and understanding. He listened to questions and he guided me in the direction that I needed to go.”
“(My writing coach) was so helpful when I met with her this fall. She was really knowledgeable and helped me breakdown my scientific report into a more clear and concise article. I would definitely come back!”
In addition to these comments and the statistics presented in the infographic, students found writing coaches and peer tutors knowledgeable about resources:
- 62 percent reported excellent
- 32 percent reported good
- 6 percent reported fair
Students also said that they were treated with respect.
Students using Tutoring and Writing services reported:
- 64 percent excellent
- 23 percent very good
- 13 percent good
Students using the Testing Center reported 100 percent agreement that they were treated with respect.
Overall, students who used the ARC services provided positive feedback for the 2019-202020 academic year.
