HawkinsCorey Hawkins, most recently the Transitions coordinator through the Academic Resource Center at Webster University, has left the University effective Friday, Dec. 4, to become the director of Student Success at Fontbonne University. A virtual farewell is planned for Dec. 8, see details below.

Continue to send any questions regarding the Transitions program, including the summer Transition and Academic Prep (TAP) program, to transitions@webster.edu.

Carolyn Brown, assistant director of the Academic Resource Center, and Cherie Wyatt, Tutoring Program coordinator, will co-coordinate the Transitions program and planning the 2021 summer TAP program at this time.

Farewell Event Dec. 8, 5:30 p.m.

Hawkins has worked at Webster since 2014, previously in Undergraduate Admissions and the Multicultural Center and International Student Affairs (MCISA) before becoming the Transitions Coordinator in 2017.

He has contributed much to Webster University and to supporting our students. "My time at Webster has been invaluable," Hawkins said. "I have worked with some of the most dedicated and student-centered colleagues. ... I thank them for their willingness to collaborate and support me in each of my campus roles. More importantly, I take with me the many experiences I have had working with outstanding students. I thank them for trusting me to guide and get to know them, both academically and personally."

A virtual farewell, hosted by First Year Experience and Undergraduate Persistence assistant director Vanika Spencer, will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 9, at 5:30 p.m. CST. All are welcome to the farewell event viz Zoom, check Webster Today for details.
