Thailand Fall Orientation Emphasizes Student Connection, Support

Fall 2020 New Student Orientation via Zoom at Webster University Thailand

Webster University Thailand (WUT) welcomed new students to the Cha-Am campus and the Bangkok Academic Center for the Fall I Semester 2020 during new student orientation sessons on Aug. 17 and Aug. 20.

This fall's orientation sessions were particularly particularly unique due to the virtual setting to respect safety protocols during the coronavirus pandemic.

Students from more than 10 countries participated in the virtual orientation via Zoom. The event seeks to introduce students to the faculty and staff who will assist them throughout their academic careers with Webster. Although these times may be challenging, faculty and staff believe that constant communication and open dialogues regarding necessities is the key to fostering a connection with students.

The foundation of Webster's long-standing outreach and support system is a commitment to constantly provide academic information, addressing any questions and concerns the students may have, and welcoming them into the diverse WUT community.

Orientation leaders also took the time to assure the new students that faculty and staff will track any updates regarding the current situation with their safety; that is Webster's top priority throughout the global system.

This fall's classes will focus on a participatory model that stimulates the classroom experience. WUT has also maintained our tuition and fees rate while offering numerous scholarship opportunities.

We look forward to introducing our bright new students to Webster Thailand and all that we have to offer in the coming year!
