Webster University’s chapter of Sigma Iota Rho, Eta Alpha, virtually inducted ten new members on Saturday, March 13. Sigma Iota Rho promotes and rewards students and practitioners of international studies in order to foster integrity and creative performance in the conduct of world affairs.

The induction caps an academic year where the Eta Alpha chapter created public service podcasts, hosted a variety of speakers, and held networking and career workshops. The induction keynote speakers, Jennifer Naouri, counsel before the International Criminal Court, and Webster University Chancellor Elizabeth (Beth) J. Stroble spoke to the importance of taking action, listening to alternative viewpoints, and mustering the courage to tackle new challenges. They also highlighted the leadership of Eta Alpha for their stewardship of chapter during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The leadership team then inducted the new members who are currently studying throughout Webster University’s global network of campuses. The meeting concluded with awarding honorary memberships to both keynote speakers. The University congratulates the Eta Alpha leadership and the inductees.
