Webster Vienna Students Learn to Work at KPMG Austria

Students at KPMG

On March 29, WVPU's Career Service offered another opportunity to get to know a potential employer in a unique way: a career lunch with KPMG Austria, followed by personal interviews for interested students. KPMG is one of the world‘s largest audit and advisory firms.

The KPMG team, consisting of Armin Kammel, Senior Manager Financial Services Advisory and Adjunct Faculty at WVPU, Alexandra Sirlinger, Recruiting & Employer Branding and Victoria Steidl, Senior Associate Financial Services Advisory, gave the students in the packed hall an overview of the company as an employer, possible career paths and the requirements for a successful application for an internship or a job.

The students were encouraged to improve their German language skills. "Working at KPMG Austria means operating in a German-speaking legal environment. For most of our clients it is necessary to carry out our projects in German," Kammel emphasised.

After an informal coffee break where students could ask their individual questions to the team, students were allocated 15-minute time slots to conduct interviews with a member of the KPMG team.

"We met many interesting potential candidates," said the team after the interviews. They will now approach the students individually.
