Award-Winning Actress Ali Stroker to Visit Webster University

Actress Ali Stroker

Acclaimed actor Ali Stroker will speak at Webster University on Monday, March 27, for Women’s History Month. The event is sponsored by Webster University’s Multicultural Center and International Student Affairs Department. 

Stroker made history as the first actor in a wheelchair to appear on Broadway in Deaf West's acclaimed 2015 revival of Spring Awaking. She won the 2019 Tony award for Best Feature Actress in a Musical for her "Ado Annie" role in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma!  

Stroker performed a cabaret act at the Green Room 42 and soloed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, Carnegie Hall, and the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. 

She is currently starring in the Netflix series “Echos.” Other notable television appearances include “The Glee Project” “Ozarks” and “Only Murders in the Building.”  

Stroker's mission is to improve the lives of others through the arts, disabled or not, which is captured in her motto: Turning Your Limitations into Your Opportunities. Stroker recently co-wrote the novel “The Chance to Fly,” which was released by Abrams Books.

 
Stroker will be speaking at Webster University on the Loretto Hilton Center's main stage, located at 130 Edgar Rd. The event will begin at 6:30p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
