The George Herbert Walker School of Business & Technology will once again host the Spectrum Conference for Nonprofit Marketers, a premier nonprofit marketing and communications conference annually held in the St. Louis region. This year, the event will be held on Friday, Oct. 20, in Webster University’s East Academic Building, with a theme of “Breakthrough: Innovative Strategies for Nonprofit Marketing and Communications.” The day-long event will include networking opportunities, instruction surrounding best practices in nonprofit communications, and cutting-edge breakout sessions from leading minds and voices in the St. Louis nonprofit sector.

“After the success of last year’s conference, we are excited to bring back the Spectrum Conference for Nonprofit Marketers to our campus,” said Barrett Baebler, associate professor and director of the MA in Nonprofit Leadership program at Webster. “The conference is a great opportunity for Webster students and staff, as well as current and future nonprofit leaders to interact and learn from nonprofit experts and professionals.”

Attendees can choose their own journey for the day by selecting from four different tracks of speakers. All participants will have the opportunity to attend the morning keynote, “The Practice of Listening,” led by Wolf Smith, executive director of the Conflict Resolution Center - St. Louis, and an afternoon keynote panel featuring several local experts who will speak about breakthrough messaging.

“Holding this conference on our campus provides a forum for our students to connect to real-world professionals,” said Simone Cummings, dean of the Walker School of Business & Technology. “It also builds on our commitment to support the St. Louis for-profit and nonprofit business community.”

The conference, organized by the Nonprofit Marketers Network - STL, is co-hosted by Webster’s Walker School of Business & Technology. Walker School of Business & Technology professors Eric Rhiney and Nisha Ray Chaudhuri will be featured as part of Breakout Session 3: Post COVID Outreach and Engagement Strategies.

Webster staff, faculty, students and alumni are invited to attend the conference at a discounted rate of $79. To learn more information about the discount, please contact Barrett Baebler at baeblerb@webster.edu.
