Webster Leiden Campus Launches Master of Science in Sustainability Management

Webster Leiden Campus is proud to introduce its new Master of Science in Sustainability Management program, an innovative curriculum tailored to meet the growing global demand for sustainability leaders. This program prepares graduates to excel in the dynamic field of environmental, social and governance (ESG) sustainability. Students will be equipped to navigate and influence the evolving landscape of corporate sustainability practices - addressing global issues such as human rights, labor exploitation and environmental stewardship.
Program Overview
This 36-credit-hour program, which can be completed in just 14 months, includes 12 key courses, such as:
• Sustainability Leadership for People, Planet and Profit
• Sustainable Design and Operations Management
• Circular Economy
• ESG Practices in the Market
• Corporate Responsibility and Society.
Students can further specialize by pursuing an emphasis in Environmental Sustainability, which includes courses on ‘Natural Resource Management and Sustainability’, ‘Environmental Ethics and Decision Making’, ‘Energy Policy’ and more.

• Professional Practice Component: A unique feature of this program is the hands-on experience students gain by partnering with companies to develop or enhance sustainability strategies, bridging academic learning with real-world application.
• Flexible Study Options: Designed for working professionals, the program offers evening classes, allowing students to advance their education without putting their careers on hold. For added flexibility, classes are available in a live virtual (synchronous) format, enabling students to participate in real-time from anywhere in the world while connecting directly with faculty and peers.
• Corporate Partnerships: Webster Leiden is actively developing partnerships with international organizations, providing students with networking opportunities and exposure to industry-leading sustainability practices.
• Experienced Faculty and Practical Learning: Courses are taught by faculty with extensive sector experience, ensuring that students acquire the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed for today’s sustainability challenges.

Start Dates and Enrollment
The first intake will begin in January 2025, with a second intake in August 2025. Applications are open now, and both merit-based and needs-based scholarships are available, covering up to 20-30% of tuition for qualified students.
