Miller-Struttmann Discusses Best Gardens for Bees

Professor Nicole Miller-Struttmann was interviewed live on FOX 2 about a research project she recently had published that looked at the types of gardens that attracted the most native bees. She also was interviewed by St. Louis Public Radio on the same subject (link not online). Additionally, the study made national news and was carried by Yahoo! News and MSN News. 

Upcoming Wildlife Exhibit in the Kooyumjian Gallery

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch ran Webster’s announcement about a new wildlife photo exhibit in the Kooyumjian Gallery in the Sverdrup Complex.

Hall Comments on  D.C. Cherry Trees and Bills in Congress

Political Science Adjunct Professor Bill Hall was interviewed by Newsweek Magazine about a Trump Administration plan to chop down a grove of historic cherry trees to make way for a golf course expansion.

He also was quoted by Newsweek about the difficulties Congress is having in passing legislation, including bills that are popular with the public.

Shrewsbury Turns to Webster Students for Help

The Webster-Kirkwood Times said the City of Shrewsbury is exploring a proposal to bring in Webster students as interns to work with City Departments. 

Women's Basketball Competes in National Tournament

The St. Louis American reported that the Webster University Women’s Basketball Team participated in the national Run 4 Roses Tournament in Kentucky.

Hellinger Discusses Bush-Bell Elections

Professor Emeritus Dan Hellinger was quoted in the Webster County Citizen about the strategy being used by former Congresswoman and current candidate Cori Bush in targeting current Congressman Wesley Bell in the upcoming midterm elections. 

Webster Alumni and Student Film to be Featured in the St. Louis Showcase

The Webster-Kirkwood Times ran a feature story on several local film makers who will have their short films screened as part of the St. Louis Filmmaking Showcase. Webster alumna Jessica Che and current Webster student  John Che were among those highlighted.

Professor Martin Receives an Ohana Award

Professor Claire Martin was featured in the St. Louis American for receiving an Ohana Award from the Counselors for Social Justice, a division of the American Counseling Association. 

Northampton Transfer Agreement Highlighted in Pennsylvania Paper

The Times News of Pennsylvania ran a story about Webster’s transfer agreement with Northampton Community College. 

Webster Alumni Featured in St. Louis Magazine Story about Job Searches for Recent Graduates 

St. Louis Magazine featured Webster alumna Riley Reed about her journey in finding a job after graduating from Webster. The story said that she was able to land a new career less than a month after graduating and credited her time at Webster for giving her a boost in the job search. 

Webster Named in the Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Honor Roll

Several media outlets ran the latest Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Honor Roll announcement, which included Webster University as one of the best institutions for transfer students. 

Webster Students Receive the Gyo Obata Fellowship

The Webster-Kirkwood Times ran a story about two Webster University students who are recipients of the 2026 Gyo Obata Fellowship. 

Rockwood School District Features an Incoming Webster Student 

The Rockwood School District published a profile on future Webster student Ty Waldrop. 

Webster Alum Norbert Leo Butz to Star in Hadestown

Broadway World ran a story that announced that Webster alumnus Norbert Leo Butz will join the cast of Hadestown on Broadway in New York later this year.
