President Tim Keane authored an op-ed published in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch about AI and the challenges it is brining to higher education. 

Miller-Struttmann and Messy Gardens

The Webster-Kirkwood Times ran a story about Professor Nicole Miller-Struttmann’s latest research that shows that bees prefer “messier” gardens. 

Patterson and the Legacy of Dolly Parton

Professor Trent Patterson was interviewed live on KMOX about the legacy of Dolly Parton. He also was interviewed by FOX 2 (KTVI).  He also was interviewed by KSDK (between classes!).

Webster Creates a Nursing Pathway with Goldfarb

Several news outlets ran stories about the Webster-Goldfarb partnership to created a direct-admit BSN program. KMOX ran a story several times throughout the day on Aug. 12 (clip not online) and FOX 2 news had a desk-read story during several of its broadcasts on Aug. 11 (clip not online). In addition, the blog Schools and Agents ran the joint Webster-Goldfarb announcement verbatim. The Webster-Kirkwood Times also ran an article and quoted Dean Mary Lai Preuss. The online magazine Registered Nursing ran a short feature story about the rise of direct BSN programs and used the Webster-Goldfarb program as an example. 

Ellison Discusses Canadian Tariffs

Mitch Ellison was interviewed by FOX 2 (KTVI) about the potential impacts of the latest tit-for-tat tariffs being traded between the U.S. and Canada. 

Gorga Receives a Fellowship

Newswise ran a story that said Professor Allison Gorga received an American Sociological Association (ASA) Policy Outreach Program (POP) Fellowship,  

Kooyumjian-Emerson 9/11 Exhibit Featured

Both KTRS Radio and FOX 2 News ran stories about “9/11: A 25th Anniversary Photography Exhibition of the Terrorist Attacks in New York City” being hosted by Kooyumjian Gallery and Emerson library (clips not online). The Webster-Kirkwood Times also ran an article. 

Move-in Day

Webster Receives an HPC Grant

HPC Wire, a blog that covers the high performance computing industry, ran Webster’s announcement about a National Science Foundation grant that the University received to expand HPC training in Missouri.
