Webster University Bolsters iMBA Partnership with the University of Electronic Science &Technology of China

Ryan Guffey addresses the 2026 Spring Alumni Annual Reunion of the international MBA (iMBA) program

Chengdu — Ryan Guffey, Executive Vice President of Webster International led a delegation to Chengdu to attend the 2026 Spring Alumni Annual Reunion of the international MBA (iMBA) program, a partnership between Webster University and the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC). Nearly 400 people attended the event, including university leaders from Webster and UESTC, heads of relevant departments, and iMBA alumni.

During the event, Webster University President Tim Keane delivered a video address, reflecting on the collaborative journey between the two universities since 2003 and congratulating the graduates on their outstanding achievements in their careers and professional development.  

Guffey delivered the address on behalf of Webster University, speaking highly of the collaboration's achievements. He emphasized that the core strength of the joint iMBA program lies in integrating Webster’s global management perspective and practice-based case approach and UESTC’s technical and research strength in the business sciences, producing technically trained and current entrepreneurial global citizens. As an integral part of Webster University’s global campus network, the Chengdu iMBA program has been in operation for 23 years, graduating 1,400 students to date.

Further, the universities engaged in an in-depth exchange of views on deepening strategic cooperation between the two universities and promoting the high-quality development of the iMBA program. They also discussed expanding the scope of cooperation and exploring possibilities for upgrading from specific project collaborations to a broader educational ecosystem.
