Alumni Exhibit Marks 40 Years of Webster BFA
August 24, 2015

The Department of Art, Design, and Art History in the Leigh Gerdine College of Fine Arts opens an invitational exhibition of departmental alumni on Friday, Sept. 25, in the Hunt Gallery. The exhibit, 40@100, recognizes the 40-year history of the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, and the seminal position that study of the visual arts has played in the one hundred year history of Webster University, the community of Webster Groves, and the broader St. Louis region.
This celebration supports the University’s centennial year and will take place during the annual homecoming and reunion weekend.
Forty alumni artists representing several decades have been chosen to present work in the exhibition. These artists/alumni will come from Washington to Maine. The earliest alumni representative is from the Class of 1960, and there is also a representative from the most recent graduating Class of 2015.
