Professional Counseling Department Begins Local Honor Society
February 21, 2018

The Department of Professional Counseling announces that as a CACREP-accredited program it has been approved to charter our own Chi Sigma Iota honor society chapter at the Webster Groves campus.
The new chapter is called Omicron Zeta and is a great honor for our department, for Webster, and for our students, current, past and future. Chi Sigma Iota has high standards for its members.
The department is proud to acknowledge that at the Webster Groves campus alone, we
have over 100 qualifying students who stand out with their academic rigor, professionalism,
advocacy and leadership skills, and integrity.
Chi Sigma Iota (CSI) is the international honor society of professional counseling
and for professional counselors which aims to provide recognition for outstanding
achievement as well as outstanding service within the profession. CSI’s mission is
to promote scholarship, research, professionalism, leadership, and excellence in counseling,
and to recognize high attainment in the pursuit of academic and clinical excellence
in the profession of counseling.
