Come join the First Year Experience and Undergraduate Persistence team in welcoming our new students to campus during Welcome Weekend 2019. We need your help as Volunteers to make Welcome Weekend 2019 vibrant, energetic, and memorable for our incoming Freshman, Transfers, and International First Year Students in their first days as new Webster Gorloks!
As a volunteer you get to take part in the traditions and major events which make Welcome Weekend special.

Helping Connection Leaders (CLs) Move-In New Students
Date: Thursday, Aug. 22
Time: Various Times Throughout The Day
Location: Maria Hall or West Hall (We will assign you a location based on our need)
Assist the Welcome Weekend staff by pitching-in during Residential Hall Move-in. Individuals volunteering for this role will have the opportunity to help with the following:
- Unloading of student vehicles
- Carry items to student rooms
- Help reconstruct moving boxes
- Direct move-in traffic
- Provide assistance where needed
- Have a fun time with the Welcome Weekend Staff
Information Booths
Date: Thursday, Aug. 22
Time: Various Times Throughout The Day
Location: Maria Hall or West Hall (We will assign you a location based on our need)
Assist answering student and parent questions, provide directions, serve bottles of water, and deliver impeccable customer service.
Tunnel of Spirit
Date: Friday, Aug. 23
Time: 8-9 a.m.
Location: Sidewalk Leading To The Loretto Hilton Center Main Entrance
Come join the Welcome Weekend staff as we build a tunnel of spirit. This is an opportunity to show your Webster Pride as we greet new students and their families into the Welcome Session of Welcome Weekend. Individuals volunteering for this role will need to be able to provide high energy, present a glowing smile, and have the willingness to have fun.
Gorloks Giving Back
Date: Saturday, Aug. 24
Time: 9:30 a.m. - Noon
Location: Meet at the University Center Quad
Webster students strive to practice global citizenship. That begins with a service project during Welcome Weekend. Join your fellow Gorloks for a couple hours of service in the Webster Groves area and at Webster itself. Please wear something you are willing to get dirty. We will be painting rooms, removing honeysuckle, weeding, and spreading mulch at a local church in walking distance from campus.

Parking Notice for Welcome Weekend
Note: Please be advised that Parking Lot D (the parking lot near Webster Hall, Maria Hall, and the Facilities Building) will be closed because of Welcome Weekend Move-In starting Aug. 21-22.
Employees and students are encouraged to park in any of the other campus parking lots including the Garden Park Plaza Parking Garage. Thank you for your patience as we welcome our new students and families on to campus!
