Children's Book Drive Collects Over 1500
December 11, 2015

This year's Webster Works Worldwide Children's Book Drive was one of the best in the 15-year history of the drive: 1,557 books were donated by members of the Webster University community. That brings the total to 15,161 books donated since the project began.
This community's generosity and #websterkindness is much appreciated!
If you have any additional books to offer, it’s not too late. The Keystone Course on Equity in Education is collecting books to donate to the Nahed Chapman New American Academy, which serves newly-arrived, non-English speaking immigrant and refugee children from preschool through adolescence.
Donations can be dropped off at Dr. Stephanie Mahfood’s office, 242 Webster Hall.
The books already collected through the drive are now on their way to the following schools and agencies:
- Bayless High School and Junior High School
- Buder Elementary School
- Cornerstone Center for Early Learning
- Dewey International Studies School
- Gateway Elementary School
- Hancock Middle School
- Lyon Academy Elementary School
- Mason Elementary School
- Patrick Henry Academy
- Woerner Elementary School
- Woodward Elementary School
- Women’s Safe House
