During the Council of College and Military Educators (CCME) symposium in Atlanta, Georgia, earlier this month, Webster University attendees were delighted to learn that Katie Chavez, a graduate student at Webster's Luke Air force Base, Arizona, campus location was selected as one of 15 recipients to receive a $1,000 scholarship.

CCME offers students who are United States military members and veterans, as well as spouses of service members and veterans, the opportunity to apply for scholarships to assist them in completing their higher education degrees.

Chavez works in the medical field and is wrapping up her Master of Arts in Human Resources Management along with a graduate certificate in Project Management. Her husband is a military veteran.
