Zhang Organizes Conference, Presents in Hong Kong

Dongling Zhang, assistant professor in the Anthropology & Sociology Department of Webster University's College of Arts & Sciences, co-organized an academic conference at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong, P.R. China).

The conference, “Confronting predicament: The mentality and patterns of behavior of Chinese intellectuals in the second millennium,” took place May 25-26.

Zhang also presented his paper, “An independent intellectual rather than a political exile: Ideological influence," at the conference.

Ibroscheva on Angela Merkel's Roots

Elza Ibroscheva presented her paper, "I am {not} a Feminist: Angela Merkel’s Political Roots and East German Socialism,” at the Association for Nationalities Studies convention.

The annual convention was held at Columbia University, New York, May 3-5, 2018.  

Ibroscheva is associate dean of the Webster University School of Communications.

Woolf, Hulsizer Chapter in 'Culture Across the Curriculum'

Linda Woolf and Michael Hulsizer published a chapter, "Peace psychology: A gateway and path to culture and diversity," in the book, "Culture across the curriculum: A psychology teacher's handbook" edited by Kenneth Keith and released this year by Cambridge University Press.

Woolf is professor of psychology and international human rights, and Hulsizer is professor of psychology, both in the Department of Psychology in Webster's College of Arts & Sciences.

Liberati Re-Elected President of Counseling Association

Ryan Liberati has been re-elected president of the Illinois College Counseling Association.

Liberati is associate professor and School Counseling program coordinator in the Department of Professional Counseling, part of Webster's College of Arts & Sciences.
