CPDC Highlights: Careers in French, Making an Impact, Branding Your Career

The Career Planning & Development Center, in partnership with Lionel Cuille, Centre Francophone director and Jane and Bruce Robert chair in French Studies in the College of Arts & Sciences, engaged students in a French Careers panel discussion on Wednesday, Feb. 21, in Browning Hall Auditorium.

Over 50 student participants interacted with a panel of professionals who have intersected their language proficiencies into their chosen career paths and emphasized the value a second language brings to the hiring process.

Serve, Teach, Lead: Careers with Impact

Students heard about working in careers with impact

Career Planning & Development Center staff Marcia (Marcie) Schumert, Trezette Dixon, Julie McHugh and John Link worked collaboratively with Olivia Potter, Webster University student and president of the History, Politics, and International Relations Club, to coordinate a career panel made up of professionals who have made service an integral part of the work they do for our communities.

"Serve, Teach, Lead: Careers with Impact" was held Feb. 27 in the East Academic Building.

An engaged audience of students learned about careers in non-profit and education while leaving with tools to explore careers they’re interested in.
