Webster University Receives 2019 Best of Glendale Award

Webster University has been selected for the 2019 Best of Glendale Award in the University category by the Glendale Award Program, recognizing Webster and its Luke Air Force Base, Arizona, location.
Each year, the Glendale Award Program identifies companies it finds to have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. "These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and our community. These exceptional companies help make the Glendale area a great place to live, work and play," the awards program says.
Webster's Luke AFB campus is active in the Glendale community, including engagement with the Glendale Chamber of Commerce, enrolling Glendale First Responders in graduate programs and other efforts, said David Handrahan, Webster campus director.
"Our 2019 commencement ceremony was held in a newly christened Glendale Regional Public Safety Training Center," he said. "Several members of Glendale City Government are adjunct faculty members, including the City Attorney."
The Glendale Award Program is an annual awards program honoring the achievements and accomplishments of local businesses throughout the Glendale area. Recognition is given to those companies that have shown the ability to use their best practices and implemented programs to generate competitive advantages and long-term value.
